The goal of surgery varies according to the condition of each case. Procedure generally aims to raise and tighten the eyebrows up and out, and keep them away from the eyes. There are surgical methods (small incisions are made in forehead and area above the eyebrow, then doctor adjusts the skin and subcutaneous structures (muscles and tissues) in a way that changes the shape of the eyebrow and forehead, and removes wrinkles. There are non-surgical methods such as Botox injections and it is effective in removing wrinkles and tightening the eyebrow area. Botox needs to be repeated every 6 months, and it is not effective in the case of old and non-motor wrinkles (existing even when the muscles are not contracting).
